Why Central Asia needs route planning
Central Asian markets are landlocked, so cargo must cross at least one border by land after any sea or air leg. Each corridor has its own customs procedures, transit rules, carrier availability and seasonal conditions, and these can change at short notice.
Wideair evaluates practical options against your cargo and deadline instead of defaulting to one route.
Routing options
Air freight
Direct or connecting air services are considered where operationally available and suitable for the cargo. Best for urgent, high-value or lighter shipments.
Multimodal via gateways
Cargo can be routed through available gateways such as Poti (Georgia) or via China, with onward rail or road to the destination, depending on cargo and operating conditions.
Sea + road / rail
For volume cargo, a sea leg to a gateway port is combined with rail or road. Transit time is longer and less predictable than air.
Destination handling
Final inland movement, border documentation and consignee delivery requirements are built into the route plan.

Frequently asked questions
Which Central Asian countries do you cover?
We plan movements to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Tell us the destination city and cargo, and we will confirm what is practical.
Is air freight available to Central Asia?
Air options are considered where services are operationally available and suitable for the cargo. Availability depends on the destination, season and carrier.
Why not use one fixed route?
Border conditions, carrier capacity and customs rules differ by corridor and change over time. A route that is best for one shipment may not suit another, so we compare options each time.
