Warehousing & distribution

Storage connected to the shipment plan.

Warehousing works best when it is part of the freight plan, not a separate activity. Wideair can coordinate temporary storage, consolidation, deconsolidation and onward distribution wherever cargo needs to pause or be re-packed on its way.

Why warehousing belongs in the freight plan

Cargo often needs to pause: waiting for a vessel cut-off, assembling several suppliers’ goods into one shipment, or being split for delivery to multiple consignees. If storage and freight are arranged separately, the handover is where time and accuracy are lost.

Coordinating them together means the warehouse knows when cargo is expected and what happens next, and the freight plan knows what the warehouse can handle.

What we coordinate

  • Inbound receipt and checks, subject to the facility’s capability
  • Short-term storage and cargo staging ahead of an air or sea departure
  • Consolidation of multiple shipments or packages into planned dispatches
  • Deconsolidation and distribution to several consignees
  • Labelling, palletisation and re-packing where required
  • Final-mile and domestic delivery against consignee requirements

Typical uses

Export consolidation

Gather goods from several suppliers, check and pack them, then release as a single export shipment.

Import deconsolidation

Receive a mixed LCL or air consolidation and break it down into consignee-specific deliveries.

Staging

Hold cargo until a vessel cut-off, a customer instruction or a document is ready.

Distribution

Deliver onward across India or abroad against a schedule agreed with the consignee.

Facility and handling requirements are matched to the cargo. Dangerous goods, temperature-controlled and high-value cargo need specific facilities. Tell us early so that we can confirm what is available.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer long-term storage?

Our focus is warehousing linked to a shipment: staging, consolidation and distribution. For long-term or stock-holding needs, share your requirement and we will review what can be arranged.

Can you consolidate cargo from several suppliers?

Yes. Consolidation is a common use of warehousing in the freight plan, where it is commercially and operationally suitable.

Is temperature-controlled storage available?

Temperature-controlled handling depends on the cargo and facility. Tell us the product and temperature range and we will confirm feasibility before agreeing a plan.
